Plating Service
With Stainless steel, you can choose a highly polished, brushed or matte finish but if you require your stainless steel pieces to be plated we offer 18 carat gold or silver rhodium plating.
Similarly you can choose a finish such as brushed, matte or highly polished. However if a gold finish is required we offer gold vermeil.
Brass is usually finished in our 18 carat gold plating or can be plated with rhodium (silver).
All our gold plating consists of 18 carat gold alloy. Whilst the pieces are not solid gold, the plating itself is actually real gold. Gold plating therefore provides a way of achieving high quality gold jewellery at a fraction of the price.
Applying gold vermeil plating to sterling silver is a popular plating option. As with gold plating we use 18 carat real gold alloy but during the vermeil process it requires a thicker layer of gold and this makes it very durable for use in jewellery and will extend the product’s life cycle.
The process during production plays a significant role in its exceptional
quality. The gold material is heated alongside suitable metal to create a gold alloy. This gold alloy is then rolled into fine thin sheets and bound to the base metal using high pressure and heat. This process ensures the jewellery possesses a thick layer of gold on the surface, making it impossible for corrosion to occur or wear off.
